With tops speeds exceeding 74 kmph, the SunChaser Eclipse 8525 SSB not only is sporty and stylish, but also lives up to the speeds and performance. Filled with premium luxury and a long list of standard equipment, the Eclipse blends performance with luxury in a whole new way.

The SunChaser 8525 SSB comes standard with their performance package which includes three 25” pontoons with lifting strakes on either side of the center pontoon and on the inside of each outer pontoon. This gives the pontoon a sports car like handling in the turns and top end speeds on the straightaway. The strakes also help with quick hole shots and short time to plane. The time to 48 kmph is just under 7 seconds.  

Black rails and painted black pontoons are standard on this model to give it a sporty look. The ski tow bar to the aft is integrated into the rail design for a clean and sporty look. The ski tow is also bolted to the deck and has a cross member design for additional strength. The open rail system provides easy access to the four step permanently mounted swim ladder on the starboard side of the extended swim deck. The standard bimini top is also completely blacked out to blend in with the rest of the boat.   

The executive fiberglass helm is raised 3.5” to improve the captain’s visibility both forward and aft. The high back helm chair that reclines and has movable arm rests on either side. The seat also slides and swivels for easy access to the helm. The chrome accent gauges are located to the right of the helm with a multi-teared layout. The optional Simrad display is center of the tilt wheel and can be used as an additional engine monitoring display or full GPS on the 12” screen.

The Sea Star hydraulic steering option adds to the handling and performance of the boat. To the left is the JL audio stereo remote with Bluetooth. The lighted rocker switches are accessible with a double row layout just below the stereo remote.   

The dual face to face lounges in the bow of the boat are high backed, plush and massive. The bases are all rotocast molded with integrated water channels surrounding the storage areas to keep your gear dry. A two-part hinge is used on the seats to help get the seat out of the way when trying to access the under the seat storage area.

The plastic molded speaker covers shows you that Sunchaser has thought about everything and their attention to detail and quality. This protects the wires and speakers from getting damaged as gear is removed or placed inside the seats. Integrated into the port side aft of the seat is an easy-to-use pop up changing room. Completing the seating area are the two recessed cup holders integrated into either seat.  

The aft seating configuration is unique as it can be molded into three different arrangements. The first is a face-to-face dinette. Remove the table and she converts into a large sun pad for the second layout. The rear flip flop back allows for forward and aft seating to give you your third layout option. Additional plastic storage compartments are attached to the outside rail that are perfect for cell phones as it has a 12v plug or easy access to sunscreen.  

This top-of-the-line model for Sunchaser provides a little bit of everything for everyone. There are very few pontoons on the market that can combine performance, sportiness, and luxury into one pontoon. The Eclipse 8525 SSB is a must add to your list when shopping for a new toon.
