Campion Boats has introduced a new high-performance coastal boat to its lineup. The innovative Explorer EX22 DC is the company’s first dual console model and is set to launch in spring of 2021.
Blending style and functionality, the Explorer EX22 DC offers features for any serious angler plus the versatility needed for a day of watersports. You’ll find the innovative fibreglass design includes a linear grid structure to serve as a high beam under the deck for support. Every piece of tooling is CNC-cut, providing unparalleled precision; the structural grid’s efficiency helps open up casting areas for customized seating configurations and larger main cockpit.
The Explorer EX22 DC is also designed with Campion’s proprietary APEX2 hull design – it features a variable deadrise with dedicated pressure areas for faster planing, excellent stability, and improved fuel economy. Campion adds a layer of Kevlar into every hull at the keel to reduce chances of the hull being holed, or deadhead, or other underwater peril.
The bow area can be used for lounging, or it can be turned into a large casting deck with Campion Marine Deck non-slip flooring. In addition to bow seating, the model includes multiple seating areas which include a ladder-back, pedestal-mounted captain’s chair and sleeper seat/lounger. Fishing, meanwhile, is accomplished with several purposeful features including tackle storage with organizers, in-floor rod locker with holders, integrated bait buckets, proprietary cast corner windshield with extended wings, best-in-class Livewell O2 Pro recirculating, aerated, pressurized with anti-slosh technology, non-slip flooring, raw water washdown, head system, and full-width swim platform. Boat colours include such selections as ice blue, graphite, reel red, and black. You’ll also find an assortment of system features – categorized under standard equipment – such as compass, electric horn, automatic bilge pump, speedometer, and fuel gauge.
