Boat Test #1759
By: Walt Jennings
The Harris 210 Sunliner is a new pontoon line from Harris and contains several new and innovative features such as a new exterior look; “Fender Pros,” which is a new Harris feature that makes placing fenders out while docking much easier, and fenders (aka bumpers) that come standard on Harris pontoons. The 210SL has comfortable seats with abundant cup holders with strategically placed USB charging ports adjacent to the cup holders.
In addition to the Harris’s Fender Pro fender hanging assistance hardware, there is a nice four step folding swim ladder on the stern (most pontoons come with only a 3 step ladder), a built-in roto molded cooler under one of the seats, and a trash can under another seat – nice touches that many other manufacturers do not include. The 210 Sunliner has an innovative Sun Lounger multi-purpose seat across the aft end of the pontoon and plush seating for a total of 10 passengers, with abundant storage under all of the seats.
The helm on the 210 has a beautiful high padded captain’s chair behind a padded and tilting steering wheel. A 9-inch Simrad GPS chartplotter graces the dash area along with an AM/FM radio and a full complement of engine monitoring gauges. Opposite the helm is a pop-up changing room for getting into a swimsuit, or out of a wet one.
While the 210 Sunliner is a two-tube pontoon boat, there is an option to get larger tubes than the standard 25-inch diameter tubes (larger ones are 27” in diameter), and there is also an option to add a third pontoon. A third pontoon gives the boat more stability as well as allowing the owner to get the pontoon up on plane easier and quicker. Anti-splash guards that help keep passengers dry in windy conditions are standard on the outside of all Harris pontoons, and while full boat covers are optional on most pontoons, a full cover comes standard on Harris pontoons.
The MSRP includes a Mercury 50 ELPT Command Thrust Four Stroke EFI outboard.
