The Alumacraft Competitor is designed to be a serious fishing platform. From stem to stern you’ll find standard features that are catered entirely to those looking to spend some serious time with rod and reel.
There are two lockable rod storage boxes, able to accommodate up to 8’ rods; two aerated livewells with timers; a 12/24v trolling system, lockable storage for tackle boxes and other gear; and a 13-gallon insulated built-in cooler.
The layout of the Competitor ensures plenty of room for casting and landing your catch. There are seat posts at the bow and the stern, in addition to the side-by-side setup behind the windshield for quick transits to and from your favourite fishing holes. Folding cleats and plenty of under-deck storage ensure that the deck and rails stay clear and clean allowing for all-around access to the water. As far as options go, you can personalize the boat with your choice of colours, and there are carpets and cargo nets available to keep it all tidy. Really though, you get a full package for fishing with this boat when you buy it as is.
The captain’s chair is mounted on a rail for easy adjustment, and comes with an air-ride pedestal to keep you comfortable in all sorts of conditions. Two additional chairs come standard, with three different placement options. If you are bringing a few additional friends out for the day there are two folding seats at the stern, they only face forward but they will be plenty comfortable for a quick rip to the secret fishing spots.
Able to carry up to 150 HP on the transom, and weighing in at only 1300 lbs, this boat will surely move when you want to get to shore for a quick lunch or back in a hurry.
Alumacraft has been in the business for many years, with a presence all over North America. The Competitor 175 provides a great fishing platform with all the details covered.
