Hitting the market in 2020, Cruisers all new 38 GLS with triple Mercury 300’s innovative design provides you with all of the features that you have come to love from the Cantius series in an outboard version. This all-new layout and design is functional, practical and provide all of the amenities for a great day on the water. With the triple 300’s, the 38 GLD should reach speeds in excess of 50 mph+ and a cruising speed around 35 mph.
The cockpit was designed with entertaining in mind. Seating configurations are endless from the bow lounger, two midship L-shaped dinettes and the aft facing bench. The aft bench also swivels to face the beach door. The bow lounge area has u-shaped seating and a table that can drop down to create a large sun pad. An optional sunshade is quick and easy to install and covers the entire bow area. The two bar stools in the cockpit area on the port side are a nice touch. The l-shaped galley is small, but functional. The hardtop has an opening canvas sunroof.
The helm is home to dual bolstered helm chair, plenty of space for your electronics, shifters, and a joystick control for east docking. The tilt wheel and wireless smart phone charging station are nice touches that create a functional and comfortable command center.
The cabin features a forward u-shaped v-berth with a table that converts to a sleeping area for two. The full beam aft bed is spacious and easy to access. The galley has a small microwave, refrigerator, and sink. The head is easy to access with plenty of room. However, I would have liked to see a separate shower integrated into the bathroom area, but space is limited and would have been tough to design.
One of the many very cool features on this boat is that with the push of a button you can lower the beach door and convert it into a swim platform that provides wrap around and east access to the water.
This large bowrider with outboards with the craftsmanship that you find on their luxury cruisers is perfect for exploring the great lakes and surrounding bodies of water. This model bridges the gap between a day boat/weekender and a full-on cruiser with her versatility. If you are in the market for a larger 30 something foot boat, make sure to add this one to your list of must check outs.
