Campion NEW Rage R22

Campion Boats, based in British Columbia, is one of the few remaining independent boat builders in North America, with a dealer network that extends to nearly every continent. Campion made a commitment to bring 23 new models out in the next five years, the Rage 22 being the first.

The all-new for 2020 Rage R22 is the first in an all new line for Campion of purpose-built fiberglass fishing boats built on their Apex2 hull using a reduced carbon footprint and Ashland’s Enviro-Responsible resin.

At nearly 23 feet in length, this is no small fishing boat, in fact you can power it with up a 350hp outboard mated to the Teleflex Sea Star Pro hydraulic steering for effortless piloting! The composite stingers, grid system and transom, Kevlar laminate reinforcements and Unibond deck joint ensure the R22 will last for decades.  It’s packed with fishing features beginning with a deep hull built for big water, which allows for a nice deep foredeck. Up the bow you’ll find a Minn Kota Terranova trolling motor, four in-floor storage compartments with gas spring lift assists, one of which conceals the two trolling batteries, and the first of seven well-placed cup holders.

The tall compound curve windscreen offers great protection for both captain and passenger seated on all-weather SRS folding seats. The helm features the usual gauge assortment, a Humminbird Helix 7 Chirp fishfinder (mirrored up the bow), and a Kicker KMC 100 Media centre powering 4 Kicker speakers. The rod storage compartment features built-in ventilation.

A full-beam casting platform, with centerline seat base mount, completes the aft section of the R22, and wraps half way up both sides for excellent fishing space. Underneath you’ll find a 45-gallon livewell finished in blue gelcoat and complete with LED lighting.  The entire floor and foredeck surface is covered with Ultradeck that is soft to the touch and skid resistant.
