Boat Test #1681
Bennington has re-invented the pontoon boat with its R Series Bowriders. By changing the centre tube to a patented “v” hull design, it has created a bowrider with increased driver sightlines which aids in maneuvering and bringing riders closer to the water for an enhanced experience that you can see and feel.
Entering the boat from the front, you step down into the boat to enjoy the front lounge area. Similar to stadium-style seating, the driver can easily see and communicate with riders.
The R24 Bowrider is the flagship model in the bowrider lineup featuring 20 to 24 foot pontoon boats. The bowrider concept provides other features including a lower, sportier profile inspired by European sports cars that looks sleek on the water and assists with docking and picking up water-skiers. Well-placed sturdy grab handles aid in boarding and when docking.
The lower profile and rails also assist boarding the boat from a beach or sandbar. View ports in the port and starboard bow also help sight lines for driver and riders.
The benefits of the U-shaped lounge with taller lounge backs and adjustable headrests become apparent once you are on board. The conversation -friendly area, combined with the nearness of the water, provides a unique experience in a pontoon.
These well-appointed seats tout deep, contoured cushions, premium vinyl, and lumbar pockets for quick and easy storage of smaller items like phones.
The boat can be configured as a Quad-Bench or a Swingback. The Quad-Bench is the most popular of the models and features maximum seating with the U-Lounge up front and Fastback seating in the stern with more facing benches and speakers for entertainment.
The Swingback allows the rear seats to face forward or astern while the bow contains the U-Lounge.
Integrated bench-back storage provides dry areas with easy access from inside the boat and from the dock that are perfect for little things like purses, wallets, sunscreen, phones, and sunglasses. You can charge a phone with the USB ports while they are stored inside.
More storage is available with up to two over-sized in-floor center storage compartments that come standard.
The all-new V-Hull™ performance package was designed and engineered alongside the Bowrider and it is designed to fit standard boat lifts and tritoon trailers.
