Southern Georgia’s Chaparral Boats is one of the few remaining truly independent boat builders left in the industry. Their 2019 227 SSX model is based on Chaparrals time-proven Extended-V Hull, which increases hull surface area, improving performance and economy, the 227 SSX is a luxury bowrider with features that set it apart from the competition.
The full-beam integrated swim platform leads to the starboard-side walk thru transom and conceals a stainless reboarding ladder. The double-wide sunpad over top of your choice of sterndrive engine power (Mercury or Volvo from 240 to 300hp), features a flip-up backrest over the starboard side walk-thru, and a second flip-up backrest to port that lifts to reveal integrated storage for the 25-quart igloo cooler.
Inside the cockpit, the l-shaped bench wraps across the stern and up the port side – but with a twist: the companion seat area transforms from forward facing seat, to bench seat to rear-facing spotters chair. The helm seat is a comfortable low-back bucket, with an additional seat behind in front of the walk-thru.
The bow features wrap around u-shaped seating with ample and well-padded backrests along with stainless grab rails. The anchor locker lifts to reveal a second re-boarding ladder perfect for beach excursions. Storage under the seats is plentiful, a removable oval table fits in both the bow area and the main cockpit, and overhead the forward-arched fiberglass tow tower features a tow point and a bimini that is colour-matched to the hull.
All 2019 models come with a Lifetime Limited Hull Warranty and 5-Year Premier Level limited component warranty.
