Introduced this past June, Cruisers Yachts all new 38 GLS is a well-thought out and well-designed yacht offering the best of the Cantius model line combined with some very unique features all of it’s own.
Beginning at the stern, the large full-beam platform features a triple set of 300hp Mercury Verado outboards that should produce a top speed in the low 50mph range along with excellent fuel economy.
The starboard aft corner of the hull, which Cruisers calls “the beach door” folds down to create additional swim platform and entertaining space while at anchor. Sort of like a dock hanging out over the water, it’s a great idea that really defines this boat!
Inside the open-concept cockpit, the aft-facing bench seatback can also swivel to face the beach door. In addition there are plenty of other seating options for your guests with twin facing l-shaped aft dinette benches perfect for serving family dinner to your crew.
The helm features a double-wide helm seat and a steering wheel centred in front of the outboard seating position. Opposite the helm seat you’ll find another innovation the 38 GLS has to offer: two padded stools at the counter of the port-side galley. Past the bar stools and up the port side, you’ll find another private seating and conversation area at the bow.
The sliding plexiglass door behind the windshield leads to the cabin where you’ll find an aft master stateroom and a u-shaped dinette. There is also a cabin galley with microwave and fridge and a full standup head is in the cabin as well.
The Cruisers Yachts 38 GLS might just be the first hybrid combination of dayboat, family cruiser and yacht that successfully does all three roles well.
