All new for 2016, the Escape RT Cruze model continues the tradition of each log being a true hull all to itself. Each Escape log is tapered from the bow to the stern, the same way a traditional boat hull is, delivering a softer ride and creating lift as the log moves through the water. Viewed from the end of each log, you’ll notice sharp angled chines on the bottom – just like you’d find on a modern day boat hull – that serve to improve both the lift and planning aspects of the ‘log’. This reduces drag and increases fuel efficiency. Hence Larson coined the term ‘Tapered Tube Technology’.
The new RT Cruze model features two forward facing lounges up front capable of seating three guests each. The helm lies approximately amid-ships with an –l-shaped lounge slightly to aft and positioned to port. The fore and aft boarding gates are stainless steel and allow air to flow through them. The exterior polished fiberglass body panels feature colour choices of black, red, blue or charcoal colour bands on a white back-ground. A Shoreland’r trailer is standard.
