Up forward, the Kodiak 200 features a large casting platform with plenty of built-in lockable storage compartments. This includes a large locker for 17, yes 17 rods! You’ll also find aerated livewells, and space for a removable swivel seat to keep you comfortable for a long day of casting. Also up forward, you’ll find switches and a battery gauge for the optional trolling motor.
The moulded helm is simplistic in design and features a tilt steering wheel, and a single row of rocker switches. As for electronics, there is a standard stereo, and Polar Kraft can outfit your model with the latest LowRance electronics package. The cockpit features four seat bases, and even more storage can be found in the sole and below the gunnel to port and starboard. The gunnel itself is wide and versatile enough to mount equipment such as down riggers and rod holders.
Back aft, you’ll find another livewell, raised seat mount, and a storage compartment for the battery.
You can rig the Kodiak 200 with a single outboard up to 225 HP. According to the manufacturer, four lifting strakes in the hull offer bow lift, and increase overall maneuverability. The modified V hull, complete with a reverse chine, creates increased stability, faster on-plane performance, and more responsive turning.
Whether you’re spending the day on the water fishing, cruising, or having a bit of fun with water toys, the Kodiak 200 will certainly keep the whole family entertained. As the flagship of the Polar Kraft fleet, the Kodiak 200 is a sturdy, good-looking, well-featured boat that offers good value.
