An exceptional entertainer.
Since 1965, Princess Yachts have been built by master craftsmen and crafts-women in Plymouth, Devon, United Kingdom and distributed all over the world. Princess Yachts are available at dealers in both British Columbia and Ontario, Canada, and their V60 is one exceptional entertai-ing-minded yacht.
The lines of the all-new Princess V60 are both elegant and suggestive of an express cruiser – that’s large enough to be classified as a sport yacht – that simply wants to get up and go.
When you are at anchor, the hydraulic swim platform creates a convenient launch system for an up to 3.3m tender, a jet ski, or a secluded bathing or sun-tanning area. Above the platform, a fully exposed aft-facing sun-pad will please the most voracious of ray-worshipers.
Access to the outdoor cockpit is via stairs located on either side of this sunpad. Here the large u-shaped sofa is the focal point of an expansive and sociable teak-lined cockpit with a fully-equipped wetbar with an outdoor barbecue. Inside the salon, the V60 features a very sociable layout with an aft-galley to port opposite a dinette. Overhead skylights in the hardtop and massive windows all around provide a breathtaking view so you don’t have to give up the sun when you retreat indoors. Electric port and starboard retract-able forward windows allow the breeze to blow through. Forward and up one step, creating a separate conversation area, you’ll find a u-shaped sofa to port, opposite the starboard-side helm with twin high-back chairs with armrests. The helm is outfitted with every piece of navigation equipment you could want that invites you to turn the key and head out.
Below deck, up to six guests are com-fortably accommodated in the full beam owner’s stateroom amidship complete with a large ensuite with separate shower, and two further guest cabins. The larger forward v-berth guest stateroom features an island bed bathed in light from the side windows, and private access to the day head to port. The smaller guest stateroom is to starboard and offers twin beds with a filler cushion to convert to a double berth if you choose. Of course, there is the option of an additional crew cabin aft with a single bed and sepa-rate head.
The power to make the V60 perform is supplied by twin MAN V8 1200 engines driving 5-blade nickel aluminum bronze props that will take this deep-V hull up to a top speed of around 36 to 38 knots. As Captain, you’ll enjoy the electric steering with hydrau-lic backup, electronic shifters and a bow thruster. Whenever you might tire of piloting this beauty, up at the bow via the wide side-walks on both sides, an 88lb Delta anchor and 40 metres of chain will drop from the windlass and hold you secure in your cho-sen anchorage. The foredeck features a wide u-shaped lounge and large sunpad both of which would be premium spots for your guests to settle in whether at anchor or up on plane. An 11kW diesel generator with specially designed nearly silent exhaust will power all your desires.
The all-new Princess V60 will appeal to many as an adventurous sixty-plus foot express cruiser sport yacht designed for exceptional entertaining.
