If you are like many of the boaters that I have spoken with recently, they did not know anything about the Schaefer yachts brand. Hopefully after reading this you will check out their website and review their amazing product line, especially the 510 Sport Pininfarina. Schaefer has been around over 25-years and combines quality craftsmanship and culminating with the impeccable design excellence of the world-renown Pininfarina design team. Featuring a bold but elegant look with its aesthetically modernistic lines and the detailed attention given to the innovative and ergonomic use of space, the Schaefer 510 Sport Pininfarina redefines superiority. Combine these qualities with the performance initiated by the expert design of Schaefer’s naval engineering team and you have the definition of a well-groomed thoroughbred.
Nothing has been overlooked on the Schaefer 510 Sport Pininfarina as it further demonstrates Schaefer Yachts commitment for perfection to bring you the most exhilarating, enjoyable on-water experience in the world. Perfection truly has been reimagined by the Schaefer 510 Sport Pininfarina.
A couple cool features and eye-catching attributes are the massive hydraulic swim platform is very noticeable with this teak overlay. With a 1,600 lbs. capacity, larger tenders can be stored on the back of this beauty. The integrated steps make the transition from the platform in the water to the transom safe and easy.
Another cool option was captain’s quarters, which was accessible through a small hatch on the port side of the cockpit area. The quarters included a small head, sink and sleeping area for one. As a captain, I would have liked to see an option for a shower in this area as well.
The aft deck sports a L-shaped lounge, all teak flooring, and a stainless-steel refrigerator on the starboard side. The large sliding glass door provides fresh air to the cabin and easy access to the topside galley and extended seating area. The power sunroof is always a nice touch on a yacht of this class. The port side is home to a U-shaped dinette with teak table and stainless-steel base. The starboard side adorns the well-equipped galley. The helm station is raised to provide an exceptional view of all sides of the boat. The docking station to the rear has a joystick and engine controls making handing around tight quarters a breeze.
The three-stateroom layout with three separate heads provides privacy for you and all of your guests. Each head has separate shower stalls which is a rarity on a boat of this size. In lieu of the third stateroom, you can option for a lower full-sized galley with or without a dinette.
Powered by twin 435 HP Volvo IPS 600’s, top speed is around 30 mph at 3,600 rpms and burning 45 gph. Cruising speed is around 25 mph at 2,800 rpms and burning 27 gph. With the IPS system, she can handle most water conditions and will be responsive with the turn of the wheel.
This upscale luxury express cruiser provides a range of custom features and is perfect for the great lakes. The Schaefer 510 Pininfarina is an exceptionally stylish boat that will turn heads no matter where you go.
