Cottage Life is giving Canadians one more day at the cottage this Spring! For the first time ever, the annual Spring Cottage Life Show will run for four days, this coming weekend! The show runs from Thursday, March 22 to Sunday, March 25 at The International Centre in Mississauga. This year the show is opening its doors a day early to accommodate the growing popularity and record attendance at the show, which is the largest, premier, one-stop destination to get ready for summer featuring 600 exhibitors offering the latest in new products and inspiring ideas for the cottage and outdoors – including boats, docks, and all-new boating and water sports accessories. Model Cottage and Garden Take a tour and sneak peek at the full-size, fully-furnished Micro-Natur Cottage from Bonneville Homes, featuring a stunning, contemporary open-concept plan, expansive picture windows and 10-foot ceilings with stunning wooden beams. Visitors will also get the chance to walk through the cottage garden designed by the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) that incorporates 1,000 square feet of beautifully landscaped native plants, shrubs and trees. Cottage Real Estate Centre The largest annual gathering of cottage realtors (500 representatives) from 36 different regions across Ontario will be on hand to provide interviews and expertise on cottage real estate, how to score a bargain, who’s buying, and future trends for recreational properties in Ontario and Canada. Cottage Country Outdoor Activity Zone The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is presenting a super-sized activity zone where families can build a fishing lure and try hooking “the big one” on the fishing simulator, while seeing local fish species up close in its aquarium. The booth will also have information on what do in case you encounter a bear in cottage country and how to keep bears away from your property; and firefighting staff will be on hand with step by step guides on reducing the risk of fires in cottage country. The Great Outdoors Get up close to some of the animals that inhabit cottage country including owls, falcons, snakes and turtles. Species at the show will include magnificent birds of prey from Wild Ontario and amazing reptiles from Scales Nature Park. The Aspen Valley Wildlife Sanctuary will provide information on how they help rescued animals in Muskoka. Cottage Main Stage and Kitchen Stage Meet experts and television personalities such as HGTV’s Bryan and Sarah Baeulmer, Rob Serediuk, and Cottage Life TV’s The Brojects and Lynzie Kent, host of Crazy Beautiful Weddings to name a few, who will be sharing advice on everything from cottage décor to gardening and how to plan a cottage nuptial. The Cottage Kitchen is also a popular mainstay featuring chefs and cooking demos that will make your mouth water, as well as tips to get your bbq prepped for cottage season. 2018 Spring Cottage Life Show Dates and Times Thursday, March 22 11am p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, March 23 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 25 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Location The International Centre, Hall 5 Entrance 6900 Airport Road, Mississauga, ON Parking is FREE. |
