Yamaha’s Helm Master® EX Now Available for the BIG BOATS!!

Yamaha Marine announced that their Helm Master EX system is now available in quint outboard applications. This will allow large boat owners to take advantage of the system’s enhanced joystick maneuverability.

“Helm Master EX has the ability to enhance great times on the water by making it easier for boaters and anglers alike,” said Ben Speciale, President, YamahaMarine U.S. Business Unit. “The expansion of Helm Master EX from single-to quint-outboard boat configurations make the system a great fit for small center consoles to large offshore boats.”

The system is designed specifically for use with Yamaha’s XTO Offshore outboards in the Full Maneuverability configuration. The Helm Master EX will bring a whole new world of control and fishability to the largest boats.

The system offers boaters customizable operation. It is smooth, quiet, and accurate, with single-function buttons and brand-new features like DriftPoint Track.

You can easily adjust Yamaha Autopilot with the joystick, with functions such as heading hold and course, Track Point (NAV along waypoints), and two types of pattern steer integrated with Speed Control and Pattern Shift. The result is comfortable control and convenience for captains.

The Digital Electric Steering (DES) is fast and responsive, which means with the Helm Master EX provides precise control with an uncluttered bilge. The DES can be added to any current and most previous DEC-capable Yamaha outboard models, with a new re-design for more user-friendly convenience.

The Helm Master EX can be installed by the boat builder at the factory of by dealers.
